Brooklyn Bridge
Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most iconic locations to snap a photo, in fact, you might have to get in line and wait your turn to do so! The bridge is one of the most recognizable in the world, and the combination of the water and skyline backdrop can provide the perfect setup for your sunset photos.
Sunset Park
Sunset Park – as the name suggests – is also a great sunset location in the city. Less crowded than some of the other places on the list, the park can be a much more relaxing experience. Rather than waiting in line and feeling rushed to take your photo, take a blanket and a picnic and make the most of a casual evening while you set up your tripod!
The High Line
The High Line is a unique way to see the city. The raised walkway was built on a disused line and has been regenerated to provide an elevated green space that offers views across the city. The High Line can get busy – however, there are plenty of places to stop, sit and snap a few photos along the length of the walkway.
Boat Tours
Boat tours are available all over Manhattan, and sunset sails are particularly popular in the summer months. The best – for most people – will take you to New York’s most famous monument, the Statue of Liberty. The SoL provides a great backdrop for your sunset photo, but remember to book in advance as they can sell out quickly in the warmer months.
