New York’s Best Proposal Spots

December 11 2023

Thinking of popping the question on your next trip to New York? With Valentine's Day just a couple of months away, the rush to find the perfect proposal spot is on. Luckily, the Big Apple is home to plenty of romantic spots to ask the question – but where are the best proposal spots in New York City?

Top of the Rock

Top of the Rock is located at the top of the Rockefeller Center – one of the city’s most iconic buildings. If you’re looking for a classic NYC proposal, there are few better places. The bar offers incredible views across the city, especially at sunset, and is the perfect backdrop for a New York engagement. If you want to make it super special, call ahead and organize for a bottle of your favorite champagne to be brought over after you pop the question.

Central Park

Central Park is one of the most popular proposal spots in the city, and it’s most romantic in the winter months. With horse-drawn carriages, plenty of secluded spots, and a handful of bars and restaurants, the possibilities are endless. In fact, getting engaged in Central Park is so popular you can organize a proposal package through the park, whether you’re looking for flowers, a photographer, or a bottle of bubbly at your chosen spot.

Brooklyn Bridge

At sunset, Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most spectacular sights in the city, offering views across the city skyline, the Hudson River, and out towards the Statue of Liberty. If you’re looking for a proposal with an unforgettable backdrop, look no further than Brooklyn Bridge. The bridge can get busy at sunset, so if you’re looking for a more intimate setup, head down to DUMBO and propose under the bridge on one of the quieter streets.

The Hudson River

River cruises along the Hudson offer another great opportunity to get down on one knee. With live music, free-flowing alcohol, and great meals on offer, it’s the perfect way to escape the cold and see the city from the water. Sunset and late-night cruises offer the most romantic experiences and a proposal you and your loved one will never forget.

Thinking of proposing in New York in the coming months? The Hotel Beacon is located in the heart of the city, offering a romantic home-from-home to enjoy your romantic weekend away.
