Once in a Lifetime Dining Experiences in New York City

March 14 2022

New York City and food go hand in hand, in fact there are almost 30,000 restaurants to try. From authentic, international street eats to some of the world’s most celebrated restaurants and chefs, and everything in-between in the city.

The Big Apple is home to 68 Michelin Star restaurants covering almost every cuisine – and if you consider yourself a “foodie” there is no better place to overindulge and try things you might not be able to elsewhere.

Whether you are a local looking for a night to remember, a regular looking to celebrate something special or visitor hoping for a meal to end a vacation you will never forget – New York City is home to some of the best “once in a lifetime” dining experiences in the world.

View of the World

As far as New York’s fine dining experiences with a view go, View of the World is one of the best. Located in the heart of the action at the World Tarde Center, the restaurant is situated on the 20th floor offering floor to ceiling windows and a menu that will please even the fussiest of foodies.

Porter House Bar and Grill

Boasting views across Central Park and Columbus Circle, the Porter House Bar and Grill is popular for their impressive meat selection, great seafood, and authentic pasta dishes. Book a sunset table for the best time to experience the view.

Gaonnuri

Like Korean food? Then you will love Gaonnuri. Offering spectacular views across Midtown as well as some of the most luxurious Korean BBQ in the city. The Menu is pricy – but well worth it for the refined ambience, unparalleled vistas and (of course) the great food.

Manhatta

Manhatta claim to be a “love letter to New York City” and is located on the 60th floor, promising the best views across the skyline – no matter what the weather. The dinner menu is relaxed – but the impressive wine list and cocktail menu make it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view.

View of

The River Café

Not everyone enjoys heights – and luckily, you do not have to scale a skyscraper for a delicious meal with a view in NYC. For those of you who prefer to keep your feet a little closer to the ground, The River Café (Michelin Star) should hit the spot. Open since 1977 the restaurant is the “most exclusive fine dining American restaurant on the water” and continues to be one of the favorites for visitors and locals alike. Located underneath the Brooklyn Bridge, you can enjoy views across the Hudson and towards the city skyline.
