Where To Swim in NYC This Summer

July 30 2018

Summer is at its peak in the city, with temperatures shooting through the roof. (Hello, real-feel of 100 degrees!) Keep cool with a day trip to one of NYC's best swimming pools.

Asphalt Green

For a small fee of $35, you can swim in Asphalt Green's pool all day (and even night!) long. This warm-water indoor pool boasts an Olympic size of 50 meters, so you don't have to worry about overcrowding. Drop by for a dip Monday–Friday from 5:30am–10pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8am–8pm.

Wall Street Bath

Take a load off at the Wall Street Bath, which not only features a heated indoor swimming pool, but a full-service spa and bath house facility that offers massages, facials, saunas, cold-plunge pools, and more. Purchase a 12-hour day pass for just $45, valid from 11am–11pm.

Waterside

Enjoy the best of both worlds with Waterside Health Club's indoor/outdoor pool. Its retractable roof allows the sun to shine in, while the walls and deck drown out the noise of the city, and any harsh rays or wind. Day passes go for $42 dollars. Stop by anytime between 6am–10pm Monday through Friday, and 8am–8pm on weekends.

Aqua Studio

Looking to do more than just splash around? Get in a workout at Aqua Studio with a variety of aqua-cycling classes, including high-interval, restorative, and power flow. Drop in rates go for about $45 a pop.

Barretto Point Park

Baretto Point Park is home to a floating pool. Yes, you heard that correctly. This state-of-the-art pool is anchored right on the East River with a spectacular view of the city skyline. And the best part? Admission is free!
