Central Park

Like Broadway, Central Park is unmissable if it’s your first time in New York City. The park is the world’s most photographed location, and it’s particularly beautiful at this time of year when displaying the fall colors. Despite being in the heart of the city, Central Park is worlds away from the busy, bustling city streets surrounding it – don’t miss out.

The Met

As far as museums go, the MET (Metropolitan Museum of Art) is one of the best in the world. Displaying artifacts from around the globe, the museum is home to thousands of years of art history from ancient Egyptian statues to European masterpieces; the museum is well worth a visit – even if you’re not into art.

Bagels and Delis

New York City makes the best bagels in the country, without a doubt. To try a real, authentic, New York bagel head to one of the city’s many delis. Katz’s, Zabar’s, and Ess-a-Bagel are particularly worth the visit.

The Statue of Liberty

Lady Liberty is iconic – and you can get up close and personal for free. If you don’t want to pay to a visit to the island itself, jump on the Staten Island Ferry. The ferry passes the statue of liberty and is completely free – and you get the added bonus of exploring Staten Island at the end of the ride.
